This one day course gives an overview of what’s involved in the business side of music. You will learn how to promote and market your music, how to find managers and how to get your music onto radio. You will also gain an understanding of how record labels work and what they actually do, how to book live gigs and how publishing deals work. This course aims to expose up and coming music artists with the basic knowledge of how the music industry really works.
You will also gain industry insights from a Greenwich based music artist who entered the music industry at the age of 16 years old.
Learning OutcomesThe tutor will also provide a presentation on how to harness the power of social media using analytical data online provided by organisations like Google and Facebook.
